is NOW OPEN!

Dear Parents and Students,
The future is looking brighter and brighter each day as the pandemic dissipates. I want to thank and congratulate every family and student who participated in religious education this year, it was a great success! With the hard work and dedication of families and catechists partnering in children’s religious education, we have seen a deepening of the faith and knowledge of our children and their families. Bravo and pat on the back to our students who were so committed to doing their studies. With adhering to Covid protocols, we had beautiful, spiritual celebrations of the Sacraments of Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation. Congratulations to all who received sacraments! Many blessings as you continue your journey of faith!
We will be reopening the St. Adalbert Religious Education Program on Sunday, September 11th at 9:45 in the Gym/Parish Center (52-40 84th Street) to in-person learning. Each classroom will be fully sanitized and the current safety protocols will be in place. The Sunday School program will consist of classroom instruction from 9:45-11:15am followed by the 11:30 Mass in the Upper Church. The regular class time will allow more time for skits, activities, prayers, and discussions.
Our application for Religious Education remains online. If you register by June 15, we can have a 70% discount on our shipping of textbooks. Please click the link above to register for Sunday School. There are separate applications for sacraments below. The Sunday School Registration form contains policy information and instructions of how to send payment by mail, avoiding a trip to the parish office. Send the payment by cash or check payable to St Adalbert Faith Formation to the parish office or drop in the lock box outside the parish office (52-29 83rd Street Elmhurst, N.Y. 11379).
We, the catechists, the staff and all the friars eagerly await everyone’s safe return in September 2022. May God bless you and your family this summer and I hope to see you at St Adalbert Masses this summer. Be sure to wave and say hi! Stay healthy and safe.

We believe that faith is a journey we take together. Religious education takes a lifetime. It happens both within and beyond a church's walls. We support one another as individuals, families, and community in an ongoing search for truth and meaning. We strive to guide one another in religious study to better live our faith. The St. Adalbert Religious Education program is primarily a volunteer program. We rely on qualified volunteers to teach our children and to protect them from any harm. This program would not be able to give the children of St. Adalbert religious education if it were not for the generosity of our volunteer catechists. We are blessed indeed to have them and thank them for their weekly commitment to teach and help. If you would like to become a teacher or substitute catechist please contact the Religious Education Office, please contact us at [email protected].
